Rev. Michael Oberlender Graduated from Oklahoma
Statue University in December of 1992 with a Bachelors in
Business Administration. He then Graduate from Phillips
Theological Seminary in December 1996 with a Master of
Divinity degree. He was Ordained into ministry by the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in January of 1997
at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of
Stillwater, Oklahoma. In addition to serving several

His support of the denomination has included serving the
General Conference of Disciple Men, various regional
committee work and Southwest Area Moderator. Directed
and counseled multiple Church Camps, Moderator-Elect, and Regional Moderator for the Christian Church (Disciple
of Christ) in Oklahoma.
His support of local community has lead him to serve as
various civic clubs including Jay Cees and Rotary
International. In addition to civic clubs Rev. Oberlender
was founding member and chaired Chickasha High School
Choir Booster Club, chaired Parent Teacher
Organizations, chaired City of Chickasha Cemetery Board
and founding member of the Chickasha Soup Kitchen.
Rev. Oberlender is married to Darla Oberlender and they
have four beautiful children; Nolan Powell and Wife Kylie
Powell, Walker Powell and wife Chelby Powell, Seth
Oberlender, and Lillie Oberlender. And three amazing
grandchildren; Creek Laughlin, Kannon Powell, and Lawson Powell.
